| "A" with Bob Brookmeyer In Paris, 1 and 2 (must haves) Wisteria (my absolute fave!) Raney '81 (with Doug) The Master Strings Attached (w/Al Haig, I think this just got reissued under a different title, it opens with "freedom jazz dance") Jimmy's also on this great Ted Brown record called "In Good Company" Those are my faves, at least... |

There isn't a CD of this but you can get it through ITunes: In Three Attitudes by Jimmy Raney - Download In Three Attitudes on iTunes +1 to all of Mr. B's recommendations. "Paris Vol 1", "Brookmeyer" and "A" I have on CD. A great CD as part of the "Red Norvo Trio": Amazon.com: Trios: Red Norvo, Jimmy Raney, Red Mitchell: Music Tracks 1-15 is Jimmy, 16-19 is Tal Farlow.

| Thanks guys. For some reason it seems like you don't hear as much about Raney as some of the other cats, but man what a monster player! This is really kind of an introduction for me. Thanks for all the reccomendations. |
