| | Pimping Mr. B's new website Jeff Matz, Guitar - Home
I noticed this due to other forumites noticing it, so I thought I'd spread the good word.
Be sure to check out the music samples. Sweet sounds! |

| | There is a typo in the 3rd para, first sentence of the Bio: "where he gig and teach" (not really a typo, just incorrect word choice. I think the sentence starts in First Person.)
I know it's trivial, that's just the kinda guy I am! |

| | Muchas gracias, amigos!
I'm pretty bad at self promotion...hopefully this site will help.
Oh, btw, 've got to edit my "Bio" page--I had my wife write it (as I hate writing about myself) but then I tried to change it from 3rd person to first person...and I missed a few spots...can't do that till tonight though! |

Have you thought about putting it in the Other Styles sub forum? You could title it "How to fine tune your castinets and receive a scholarship to do so"
I'll bet you see some action there |

| | Very promising site, I've already got it prominently displayed on my bookmarks bar - right next to jazzguitar.be, in fact.
Your playing is wonderful, Jeff - maybe in a few decades I'll sound that smooth and assured. But probably not. |

| | Good looking site, Mr B. Nice vibe.
Re. self promotion, I know it can be hard but, believe me, if you have enough people telling you you're good then it's time you believed it and informed your interested supporters of any new developments. That's what they want. It ain't bullshit, or arrogance, or conceit, it's about knowing your own worth and realising that there are many people out there who actually want to know about you and what you're doing. |

It's not like you are selling people something they don't want. You've got soundclips there so people can decide for themselves. |

| | Congrats Mr.B, nice site. Great to see that you are planning on showcasing some samples of your teaching work in addition to the excellent sound-bytes you already uploaded. Also what an excellent choice of guitar, I've heard nothing but positive comments about the Hofner Verythin Standard as well as it's low cost sibling, the "Verythin CT". Did you record the tunes with the Hofner or did you use the Kay? |

| | Thanks for the pump up, all--I do need to get over that "marketing myself" fear.
frogeye, there's a lot of different guitars on these recordings--
Someday my Prince will come is the Hofner
My Funny Valentine and My one and Only Love are the Kay
Laura and Autumn in NY is a Godin Kingpin
everything else is pretty much a telecaster... |

| | Wow, that's a pretty awesome big box archtop sound that you have coming out of that Verythin on "Someday my Prince will come". I'm very impressed. |

VERY easy to use. You have to remember, I was a fine arts major...while the graphic design kids were learning code and mastering dreamweaver, I was using materials that were essntially pefected in the 17th century. |
