Jim Hall Jim Hall's arrangement of Purple Haze

I've never felt so horrified and impressed at the same time!

The first groove (I guess the intro) is pretty weird but it picks up a lot of energy for the verse and the solos.

Reminds me of the Kronos Quartet version of Purple Haze.

Didn't Jim Hall record a few tracks with Ornette Coleman, too?

I used to have it on vinyl. They don't make albums like that anymore! I couldn't find "All my life" which I really like, but here are three other tracks (no Jim Hall on them, though).

(I first thought that last track's wah-wah was a guitar, but it was Charlie Haden on bass. And Ornette on violin -- can you tell he's never had lessons?)

An excellent way to express my reaction, as well. It's pretty cool after a couple of listens.
