Default Miles and Sonny-the classic prestige sessions

I came across this gem of an album at the shop earlier this week. HELL OF A FIND! A lot of numbers are after hours jam session stuff with previously unreleased cuts. Those cuts are just solos over standard changes. The pieces were left untitled until Ira Gitler titled them according to thier mood. One track has Miles comping on piano the changes from "Confirmation" while Sonny solos. Another track has Bird on tenor!

If you want to hear some early Miles and Sonny (circa 1951) this album is tremendous!

There is also an album called, "Collector's Items," that has Miles and Sonnny Rollins. Killer stuff!
