Interesting! There is some guitar in there; it would not be hard to
turn it flamenco. Take the basic chords: Em7, Cadd9 (could also be Em7#5), G, D, and play some arpeggios and what not.
Castanets and a little dancing would definitely add some Spanish flavor to the song. Maybe some maracas, go-go bells, bongos, congas, or djembe also? Nah, too brazilian.

I was thinking more mariachi, like Desperado.

I just played with a singer who is going out on the road with Rhianna.
She told me Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme is the guitarist.
