Yeah! I love the feel....was that track just
a one chord groove?....wow...no-one seemed
to"solo" as we know it....much to be learned
from the way this group play.
This music seems to me to have less to do with
asserting individuality above the whole group.....
I loved Stuff and bought all their records I could
lay my hands on...I'm pleased to say that, for me
they sound as fresh as the day I became aware of them as an entity
[outside of their prodigious back up recording work] Thank you for posting!

I agree! I love vamping over simple grooves and really locking in with other musicians. A different side of music, worthy of exploration!

This is a 16-bar blues form, guys. There are changes, and the guitarists are taking turns taking the lead (i.e., soloing).

But, yes, the feel is nice, and the riffs are not technically complex. It's got a laid-back vibe.

My first Stuff album was on cassette. Some of the best studio musicians ever.

Cornell Dupree, what a tasteful musician. Loved Stuff, still trying to play a few of their tunes.

Love this group! Richard T. was an amazing pianist that left us too early.

Cornell Dupree is one of the baddest cats to ever stand behind a Telecaster. Nothing fancy, just sweet, melodic and deep in the pocket.
