Boys-this is starting to sound a bit like Cyber bullying, and is getting a bit disturbing. Leave him the feck alone. If you have a great problem with Ruben then please just report him to Dirk. If Dirk takes no action it must mean that Dirk doesn't have a problem, so just remember we're in Dirk's "house".
Yes-I know all these links might be a bit annoying, but I've NEVER seen Ruben jump on anyone elses threads and start posting links-never. Ignore them.

Come on, it's a forum. We are supposed to reply to posts. If someone barfs out continuous link spam we are entitled to call him on it.

It's one thing to call someone on continuously putting in spam links. I have absolutely no problem on you calling Ruben on that-it's valid and I've done it myself.

It's quite another thing to be trash talking on someone's playing and asking them if they've taken their meds, without a hint of a smilie to let them know it's just tongue in cheek and good natured.
There's a line. It's not worthy of the quality of the people here to engage in that sort of sub-juvenile nonsense. In my not-so humble opinion.

How about just ignoring his threads? Problem solved, eh? If you don't wish to ignore them, why not just report each and every post to the forum owner?

I might have crossed the line-but so has Ruben in some previous threads, trying to make me and another member look like fools by not taking his challenge to analyze and perform one of his pieces. The part about the meds was meant as a joke, however I am starting to think that this guys has some serious issues, which is something I wouldn't make a joke about.
If it makes you happy-I will not comment on any of his threads again.
I think it is a shame that he is allowed to continue to do this-he clearly has no interest in participating in this forum other than posting his links. I am trying to contribute in other discussion because I think this is a great forum, however I feel Ruben is trying to take over with all of his links. He posts over at the gear page, but keeps a much lower profile over there-thats why people take him more seriously. He has been banned from many forums. Here he is allowed to do whatever he want.

Soco-
I hear you, mate. But you and me both know what two wrongs don't make
I'd say there are very few people here that don't feel intensely loyal and protective towards this place, and have the same worries and peeves that you have with all these spammy posts from Ruben.

All I'm saying is-There's a better way.

First step is-don't reply. Any replies simply validate the spam.

Second step is-Every time you see one-report it to Dirk.

I'm not Dirk, but if I were I'd tell Ruben that there is no need to start a new thread with each lesson-just keep posting in the same thread. That way, his spammy posts won't be knocking other peoples threads off the front page of that sub-forum.

Ruben-I guess you are reading this-That wouldn't be a difficult compromise for you, would it? It'd be like Kawa-San's Good Sounds thread. Don't hear anyone harping on Kawa, now-do you? He has the perfect idea. There is absolutely no reason for you to do so many seperate posts-- one long thread would suit your purpose, and anyone that might be interested in your music would know where to find all your posts.

Billkath, I think the same way as you do. But I think that you have an answer from the guy : he posted two new threads since you posted your last reply !

Absolutely-So I'm writing to Dirk. If you all feel that way too, please write to our host, Dirk, too.
