I'm down in Rainier/ Yelm area; just east of Olympia. Unfortunately there isn't much of a music seen in Oly. and Seattle is to far away. Living in the country we are lucky if we get any live music and if we do it's destined to be a bad country band LOL. I don't know of anyone else on the forum from this area, although I believe there are a few from Portland.

I'm on Camano Island, about 60 miles north of Seattle. Nothing on the Island. Just a couple of small bands in the town of Stanwood. (Population = 2300.)

I used to, but haven't in years. Didn't think BeBop and Destruction was still together? I played a gig with Marc the other day.

Is it a good session?

Yeah, it varies from week to week. Its not technically be bop and destruction anymore. Jose Martinez is there every week, Eric Verlinde usually plays keys and the bassplayers rotate.

it can be super smokin if good players show up, but like with any session, you don't want to be the guy who gets stuck playing the 25 min version of anthropology with 5 tenor solos.....

I usually hit it every other week or so, and get called to play it every few months.

I'll have to make one again. I'll shoot you a note if I know I'm going. Do the same if you think about it. It might get me out of the house.

Seriously,

We should schedule a seattle area jazz guitar forum meet up. I think that would be fun. And, I don't think this summer is perticularly slow, but I do notice, the older I get, the more I have to hustle for gigs. My cute face is wearing off I guess. Ha ha ha.
