Default Study group for theory, ear training, focused practice in NY

I'm looking to form a small group of guitarists based in New York, players that might be interested in getting their theory, harmony and linear chops together by working/playing/practicing with other guitarists.
Not everyone can be lucky enough to be in a school, and knowing about these things can be easier in a group.

Some things that might be on the table might be issues of hearing and identifying harmonic progressions by ear.
Different progressions and substitutions by theory and by ear.
Trying out and creating melodic concepts that avoid "cliche playing."

Some inspirational musicians, to give you an idea of where this is coming from:
Ben Monder
Nir Felder
Dave Binney
John Escreet
Jon Kreisberg
Peter Bernstein
that kind of thing. 55 bar or Smalls players as opposed to, say bebop. Kurt rather than Jimmy Bruno, to put it in a Philly perspective.

Different levels of player are good, we'll all wind up where we want to be anyway, right?

Anyone in New York up for this?
David

I'm confused - are you bilocal now? and I would definitely be down for this except I'm in Boston.

Cool ideas...

Medium length story, but I got you down for working in Boston. Of course. Let's play.
