I'm sure this is a stretch, but is there anyone out there in Carbondale Illinois by any chance?

Maybe not here, but anywhere there's a college there's jazz lovers...even if just a few.

I live far away from Carbondale now, but I'm an SIU alumnus. When I was there SIU had a good jazz band, that I played in and got to write some charts for. We actually played out in some clubs in the area, much to the chagrin of the "legit" music faculty.

Sweet, I may possibly be moving there for about a year and I was just HOPING they have some good music, and some places I can play at. I hope I can find some cats out there that wanna swing wit me. Cuz man..it will be a LOOONG year if not....
