 hello Hello every one - I'm looking to jam with someone in the the south west area of London. Teddington,Twickenham Kingston or Richmond areas. I really enjoy this site and am full of admiration for Dirk and his team for putting up a brilliant resource. Been playing for a few years now and have reached the point in my woodshedding where it would be a boost to play in a duo/trio set up or just to jam. Have rediscovered Barry Galbraith's Guitar comping book which despite its diminuative size is choc full of ideas and if cast away on a desert island with only one book to take with me this would be my choice. Given that predicament which instruction book would every one else choose? Or have we done this already? cheers Ben     |

| I have used the Berklee series books by William Leavett (sp)..and the Howard Roberts book...Mickey Baker...grab a book of licks runs and such... There are so many out there now its hard to say... Others may refer you to one of many...lots of great players and teachers here to help us all.. time on the instrument..pierre |
