Default NYC americana/alt-country songwriter seeks bass

Hi, I am a guitarist/singer/songwriter currently putting together the beginnings of a roots/alt-country/folk kind of band. I have been playing solo for some time; you can hear me (solo) at sonicbids.com/joshuasanders. Not looking for mercs, and pay at this point will involve splitting tips evenly, though I will cover costs of rehearsal space, if necessary. Most of the songs I play are originals, though I do play some CCR tunes, a few Townes van Zandt covers, some Carter family tunes etc. I play around NY at the Parkside Lounge and the usual Brooklyn spots...also up in Hudson Valley every now and then (would cover you for extra $, gas and meal etc there)....
Looking to rehearse about once per week and gig maybe every other...Look forward to hearing from you, please send me some links to what you have going on.... Have a great day!!

Key Words: Upright bass, standup bass, alt-country, roots, americana, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, fiddler

Have you tried bandmix.com? I think you might have an easier time finding musicians there. You can look up musicians by zip code.
