Hello all: I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Joe . I graduated from the Julliard School of Music [B.M. degree] and the Manhattan School of Music [M.M. degree], majoring in piano and composition.
After hearing Segovia play [he blew me away!], I decided to take up the classical guitar. However, all along I played jazz and society club dates on piano.
I always liked jazz and decided to buy a jazz electric guitar [Epiphone, Emporer II, Joe Pass Model ]. Which I now play and thoroughly enjoy ! I gave up the classical guitar because of arthritis in my right hand . I'm now learning jazz guitar and must confess that I find it much more creative than classical guitar.
Thank you all for reading this long , and probably very uninteresting post.
I look forward to becoming an active member on the Jazz Guitar Forum.
Hope to hear and communicate with you.
Joe S.
