MM modes according to Emily.. She suggests for resolving doms to think of the MM a half step up, and for non resolving doms to think of the MM a fifth up. Problem is, although the note sets are the same, there is a difference if instead you think of the Alt scale for the former and the Lydian Dominant for the latter. Sure, the difference is only the starting note, but this is a critical difference, no? Otherwise we'd think Cmaj for Bm7b5 - same notes, but makes more sense starting on the B, right?
