Right - Mimi Fox's "Jazz Anatomy" is a TrueFire course, devoted (I think) exclusively to playing blues in Bb. Great course, but not standards.
For a FAR cheaper and just-as-valuable alternative, try her book, _Arpeggios Over Standard Progressions_ (that's not exactly the title, but it's close.) This *WILL* get you started playing standards. If your brother plays pretty good guitar already (knows scales and can play them fluently, let's say) this is perfect.
Her other book, _Graduated Solos_ (also a TrueFire course) is worth a fortune. The $17 book gives you the same things as the expensive DVDs, except you don't get to *watch* her play the examples - you can only hear, from the CD that comes w/the book.
Good luck!
