Not sure what you mean? Are you talking about a swing, Freddie Green type rhythm playing thing, or just comping in general?

And some jazz easy songs with not many chords, to practice as exercices.

Somebody here mentioned the "A" section of the real book. That's not a bad place to start...stuff like "Autumn Leaves," "All of Me," "All the Things you Are" are all great material for starting out.

Oh, and you gotta have a bossa in there too--maybe flip to the B's for "Blue Bossa"--nice and easy.

Jazz Guitar Chords | Guitar Chord Charts | Lessons

Sorry, I'm a "teach a man to fish" guy, not a "give a man a fish." There's good info all over this site, and this e-book is pretty good--it'll get you started.

In jazz, there's rarely one "correct" place to play a chord. The sooner you start finding them on your own, the better.

You can find chord charts almost anywhere. Try "Chinatown" simple chords. The "-" means minor chord in this notation. Don't let the A-7 throw you, you can just play a A minor chord. Even though written in 4/4 time, Gypsy jazz is actually 2/4 time, Kind of like a real fast polka. The rythm is like "boom-chick" sound. Downbeat the root of the chord ie CM chord would be C then play the rest of the chord as the upbeat sound . As you get better, alternate the boom sound with the 5th of the chord ie C then G then the rest of the chord. Hope this helps you get started.
