Default how to improve precision

any suggestion about how to practice to improve precision in a creative way?

i mean, if I spend some weeks playing only scales and exercise, my technique improves but I loose creativity and expressivity in normal playing.
while, if I play only songs and impros, I slowly loose precision.

I play only one or two hours per day...

time mgmt is the answer. that is, alternate your "workouts".

day 1: 30% technique, 70% tunes and improv
day 2: the reverse
and so on....

change the above percentages appropriately, per your need/level of development.

on your scale and arpeggio studies use rhythmic variation to make the sound more like a tune than just an exercise or etude..

rhythm is the spice that flavors the music..

time on the instrument...pierre
