Help Wes Montgomery lesson: errors on the staff?

Hi everybody,

The lesson is just great!

However I have a question. I feel that the scores are entered via the tab module and it may have induced errors in notation on the staff. Would it be the case or not, it would be a good idea to complete it by explaining the functioning of harmony. It's very confusing for the novice I am :-)

Here the "errors" which I spotted (which thus pass into the bars explained in "Accents"):

- The 2nd chord (F7 # 11b9): an F # note is indicated when it seems to me that this is the 9th flat, so a G flat

- 4th bar (EB7 # 11b9): a C # is shown instead of D flat (7th), and an E natural sign is shown in place of F flat (flat ninth)

- 6th bar (D7 # 11b9): an A flat is shown in place of G # (sharp eleventh)

- 7th bar (Ebm9): an F # is shown in place of G flat (minor 3rd), a C # is shown instead of a D flat (7th)

In classical harmony, I know the enharmonic principle that could explain these points, except that here I see no reason related to the conduct of the voice or modulations ...

Thanks a lot for helping!
Regards,
Patrak
Thank you to enlighten me on these points!

The only Wes music I could find in the lessons was handwritten, and I couldn't find any with those chords. Do you have a link? You are probably right about the Tab programme assigning # and b in a random fashion. Did it have a Key signature?

See I didn't know the Premium Edition was up and running yet. Have you signed up for the 3 months?

I think it is just the Tab programme.

Yes, I have just signed up.

If it is a the Tab program, corrections should be made. It's confusing. I sent an email to site but I haven't had any answer yet.

Thanks!
Regards,
Pat

I'm thinking about signing up, just to try it. I'm sure the lessons will be worth it - I mean, $20, how much do you expect for that? I just think I've already got so much stuff to work on, I wouldn't take advantage of it. Although, it's all downloadable.

Does the lesson cover the entire solo?
