Newbie! Hello All,

This is my first post. I've been reading much on this site and forum for the past few months, and must say it's quite informative and entertaining at the same time.

My story is that, I've not played for a quite a years (was an intermediate at best when I was distracted by life matters, i.e. work, study, women, travel etc.) that kept my away from playing. Now that I have more time and renewed passion to start playing again (albeit with a clearer mind and enthusiasm and recent new addition to my guitars in the form an archtop ), I have scoured the web looking for sites similar to this.

I've always loved jazz since my teens, and still do to this day, but with a better appreciation of the bebop style jazz artists. I used to be so caught up with the jazz rock fusion artists, still enjoy them, but the standards jazz is really where it's at. So much on youtube to listen to, such as Pat Martino lately.

I'm making some decent progress to get up to speed again and playing (purely for personal enjoyment). This site and forum will come in very usefull when I get to the level of some of the material being discussed on here.

Cheers
