Default Moving to Manchester

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that i will be moving to Manchester this new year, in mid january. If anyone in the area is up for jamming let me know, love to get together. Also, i will be accepting students in the north west of England after i arrive so if anyone is interested in getting together for a lesson or two let me know.

Cheers

I lived in Manchester for five years, around 1990. Will you be at the Royal Northern College of Music? I was in the Computer Science department there, but I went to a lot of classical concerts at the RNCM. The blah weather eventually drove me out of the UK ... for Australia!

Not yet, just going to freelance and do some recording and teaching. Am trying to get some work lined up for next fall. After being in Brazil i like the weather, as my friends down there say, it's like the whole world is air conditioned! Lol

Or Winnepeg in January?

Heh, I better admit that I enjoyed my time in Manchester, apart from some grey weather. i used to walk and bicycle in the Pennines a lot, an it's midway between London an Edinburgh. Hmmm... it's seems that I liked escaping best of all!

Sounds exiting, I have some musician friends in London, I am hoping to go over there and play sometime.
Doesn't Mike Walker live in Manchester? He is a great guitarist and very nice.
Good luck on the move!

Looks like you might be in for an historic year. Manchester City could win the Premier League title for the first time. They're on top of the table ahead of Manchester United. Good luck in your move. I'm sure you'll enjoy and end up with a bunch of happy students there... I hope you come to the US east coast sometime in the future...

Matt, best of luck on the move. Here is Mike's site:

As Soco says, great player, very nice. Posts on here from time to time. This group is awesome:

Hi Matt, it might be worth contacting Trefor Owen as he puts on the monthly jazz guitar club and runs teaching weekends from time to time.
Let me know if you ever make it over to the Midlands!
