 Rotosound strings for carved archtop I guess most of the members of this forum are from USA so it follows that most of the recommendations for gear are based on what is available there.I have been following posts on strings but find a lot of the recommendations are just not available here or are prohibitively expensive.I suppose this question is mainly directed to British/Irish and European members although advice is greatly welcomed from all. I am currently using Rotosound Purples,12-52 round wound strings on my Eastman 905.How do these compare to e.g.Thomastick?Any advice is greatly appreciated. Ken     |

 I can't comment on the Rotosound roundwounds, but I just put a set of their flatwounds on my El Rey. So far, results are very good. I would say they are easily the equal of the D'Addario Chromes, which are a popular "affordable" flat widely available here in the states. |
