Default I have had enough for a while

I am leaving this forum, too much trolling and spamming for me-no use fighting it either. There are some excellent and really knowledgeable people on this forum, but they get buried in flamenco spam, moody-teenagaers ,opinionated classical guitarists, people that wants feedback on their clips but never bother to reply after you gave them feedback. I don't want too waste my time on this anymore .It is a shame because this really has the potential to be an great place. Now I am off to play a gig!

A suicide post? No, Soco, don't go, we need folks like you around...you know, sane, non-robots who actually play the guitar.

Yeah, the flamenco/classical stuff is over-the-top and really grating. I just try to ignore it and hope the mods know better.

Oh, Soco, I missed the whole Segovia Scales dust up...know I get why you're leaving, but I still wish you wouldn't.

KShri, your performance degree belies the fact you still have a lot to learn about being an adult.

Soco!
Sad news! It saddens me greatly that the administration feels that spam artist Diaz is more important than an actual contributing JAZZ player!
You will be sorely missed.
I will try to stay in touch, through other links.

All the best,
Ron

Don't leave. That pissing contest with the Flamenco cat caused me to go visit your website so I guess it had some value. You're an excellent player and in reading some of your other posts, I've gained some great knowledge. Why whoever runs this thing doesn't delete the endless stream of posts from that guy is beyond my comprehension.

Forget him, the moody teenagers and anyone else who might be annoying you. We need guys like you around here!

Soco - Don't leave (please); just take a break if you need to.

I myself have a strict personal policy of never arguing with someone I can't see!

By the way, the only thing I don't like about you is that you have more than one Collings, and I don't have any!

Whatever you decide, keep up the good playing.

Soco hang in here and just put the guy in your ignore list.

I have worked in online support and involved with groups for years and you just have to learn to ignore the jerks and there are lots of them out there. People are bad on a phone, but the internet has create a boatload of 800-pound gorillas. The same people that would cower in you presence. I would meet people who were a constant online pain at conventions and they would be wimps in person.

So regretfully you have to put on asbestos underwear, have thick skin and ignore those people. There are enough good people on the net to make it worth staying.

Didn't that just prove his point?

Soco, you just have to learn who to ignore, even if it's me.

Peace,

I hear classical music is all the rage on the retirement scene. Better brush up on your Segovia!

Bad ass modern jazz like Soco plays? Not so much.

Yow. If I could play like that I'd post wherever I wanted & let the nattering nabobs of negativity take a flying leap. I pretty much do that anyway, even though I can't play like that.

Don't leave the forum. I've been on here, off and on, for close to two years now. I have learned a great deal and hopefully contributed something. I took a long break myself for a while because I got too deeply involved in the kind of arguments and tired of the spam. But I came back after a while. I don't pay attention at all to the "Flamenco master" spam and I only scan some of the classical guitar battles. As far as the other stuff, I think you eventually figure out who is serious about learning/discussion and who is playing teenage games and just move past it.
