| | Eric Skye, Albany, NY Not sure if this is ok to share here. We are bringing Eric Skye to the Albany, NY area this weekend for a couple of workshops and a concert. Eric is a jazz guitarist that has been discussed on this Board several time. He's pretty amazing. All proceeds are to benefit my daughter's school, Brown School in Schenectady, NY. Eric is running a workshop for adults at 1:00 Saturday. The cost is $30 and includes a ticket to the concert that night. At 3:00 he is running a workshop for kids (5th grade and up). No charge for the kids, and of course, they should come to the concert, also no charge. And, finally, Eric will perform at 7:00. All events will take place at Brown-- 150 Corlaer Ave., Schenectady, NY. If you are interested in coming, or have any questions, please email, or PM me. Parkway Music in Clifton Park is one of the sponsors.

| | Loudonville. Yeah, I remember. Much nicer place to live than Troy these days probably. I moved to a small town in southern Italy about 12 years ago now because of health problems and other family catastrophes. I was basically "out of the world" for a long time and my mom was helping take care of me. I got disability, but my mom was getting up in years and couldn't deal with the situation alone anymore. So we ended up here in the boonies of Italy.
Now, she is in her 80s and I have started taking care of her. The shoe is on the other foot. So, I'm sort of trapped here now. A lot of time to practice, study, etc,,, but no one to play with and not many friends in general.
I got back there about 4 years ago for a visit. But my mom doesn't get around very well these days. So, I probably won't get back to the US permanently (if I decide to do that) until she is...well, no longer with us. ;(
Anyway, sorry to go long-winded on you. But what the hell.........I still have some a lot of friends in Albany and that area. |

| | I am sorry to hear about your troubles. If and when you do come back to the area, drop me a line. I hope you and your Mom are both feeling better and doing well.
