Did you mean Bb to D
b? If so, I can understand what you mean. However, I think that only using that much of the cycle will not convey the sound of Trane changes - all you're getting is the sound of the tonic moving up a minor 3rd - a sound that we're all used to hearing when we use our h/w diminished moves while we're en route to the IV7, so what I'm saying is: You should use more of the cycle (start it earlier?).
I more typically see the cycle start on the 9th bar of a 12 bar blues, starting right after the ii7 chord, like:
Cm7 Db7 | Gbmaj7 A7 | Dmaj7 G7 | C7 F7
Here's starting from the very beginning, moving to the IV7:
| Bb7 Db7 | Gb7 A7 | D7 F7 | Fm7 Bb7 |
Hope this helps.
