| | Too cool. Must post. I feel like painting a picture of these guys I'm so obsessed with this clip. I was just curious about the climax at 6:30. Who sets it up? Can we say? Nate? If it were basketball who gets the assist? Pick it up at 5:00.

| | Great recording!
So, if Dave were smart and added a guitarist to his group, who should he select? |

| | I love moments like that. I would say Robin Eubanks was giving rhythmic cues to the others leading up to that moment, and they were listening. In my opinion, the assist goes to the drummer for having big ears and obviously grooving off of what the trombonist was doing. And Robin could obviously feel that the drummer was with him, which gave him confidence to get to the climax. My question is what time signature were they playing in? And who was that drummer? And hello Marc Why |

| | I showed the clip to a drummer friend of mine. He said the time signature is clearly 7, but he didn't recognize the drummer.
We both agreed that it was cool, however. |

| | Oh man! 'How's Never' is my absolute favorite Dave Holland composition. I'm so happy there's finally a live video of it. Thanks for sharing OP Quote:

| | Drummer is Nate Smith: Drummerworld: Nate Smith
The thing about that Dave Holland band is they swing so hard it is like there is nowhere to go. After a couple of tunes I feel like my head is going to explode. And I've seen them several times lately. Honestly, so explosive I recommend sitting in the back. Hehe. But best ticket you can buy IMHO.
