Default BopLand.org: 2 5 1 is there, what else?

Hello guys!

I'm a developer of BopLand.org - the Free Jazz Lick Database that has undergone major changes recently. I'm working hard to make it more usable, and I need your feedback at the moment. I've improved the service to understand some common progressions like "2 5 1" or "II V I gmin" or even "autumn leaves dm". All licks are available for guitar notation now, i.e. treble clef that sounds one octave lower. Do you have any further suggestions how to improve it?

Thanks,
__aux

It would be cool to have the playback of the lines have some sort of accompaniment.

I just checked out the new site. Didn't you used to have a feature that would play the lick? I don't see that now.

Thank you for the suggestion. Technically it's not that hard to implement, however, different licks sound better on different accompaniment styles. It is always a live communication between musicians that can hardly be generated by a script. I've experimented with auto generated accompaniment and the results were that some licks had completely lost their sound. It was always the case for the licks with some rhythmic patterns. So final decision was to print changes without playing them.

Double click should work fine. Alternately, you can click on the lick to expand menu for playback, transposition, and source code.
