John Scofield Pentatonic scale & J.Scofield

Great four minor pentatonic licks over II V I VI progression.
Look at the legato notes...very helpfull at fast tempos.
Transposed from "On Improvisation"/1983 J. Scofield/.
Best
Kris

John Scofield scof

Hello,
Ideofunk,Hottentot.
Easy tunes I mean first with two changes/E7,D7/ for impro and next with with one /Bb7#9/ for impro.
it is big work to improvise like John over one chord. He practise standards like Sella By Satrlight about 30 years...:-)He has great feel...blues ,funnky staff!!
Try to play you feel and do not copy Scof.
If you like lines played by Scof transcribe them and transfere them to your style of playing.
Use blues scale, pentatonic, diminished, melodic min, whole tone scales...create outside notes/out lines/.A lot of things.
Best
Kris
