Default Modern set list material

I was posting on a thread about modern approaches to soloing and thought it might be interesting to post set lists from one of the more modern bands I gig with, not a whole lot of gigs for this band... takes a pretty hip audience. Anyway I'll list alphabetical rather than play list, and leave out original material.
Billy Childs, "Backwards Bop", "Dreams", Memory and Desire" and "Olympus", ridicuiously difficult.
"Don't Let It Go", Vincent Herring, fun easy tune.
"I'll Remember August", Ralph Towner, yea somewhat classical player.
"In the Woods", Phil Markowitz
"Paladia" & "Pass Pressence", Steve Masakowski, east coast guitarist.
"Slings and Arrows", M. Brecker. As well as many of his earlier tunes.
"King Kong", John Patitucci.
"By any Means Necessary", Florian Ross, another tune hard to pull off live.
"De Camono", Perico Sambeat, great groove.
"A Place in the Sun", Mark Lockheart... beautiful...
We cover a few Stern hits... "The Whole Bunch" by Martijn van Iterson and many tunes out of "The European Real Book" and "The All-Jazz Real Book", both Sher Music.
I just ordered a Kodak mini cam. Zi8, so when arrives I'll try and go through some of the charts above and explain how I approach soloing and comping.
Most of the time in that band I cover heads with sax. So maybe I'll get into melodic sectional playing, which is what I also do in most big bands. Might be somewhat advanced for some players, but you'll also pick up technical playing skills which are good for all styles and levels. Best Reg

I'd really be interested in your comping ideas. I'm guessing you don't play like Freddie Green in these circumstances. :-)

Man, have I got some listening to do! I only recognized 3 of the artists, never mind the tunes!
I kinda got stuck in the "hard-bop" era!
Thanks for the post Reg. A longer list would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Ron

WOW! Reg, please let us know any if not all modern tunes that should be in our repetoire. From the 50's onward most standards are strictly player's tunes, and not the American songbook. I know the Real Book gets updated every year, but there's minimal additions. I know the "modern" tunes should include a lot of Herbie, Shorter, Corea, Metheny, Brecker ect
