Hello all,
I've launched the first part of a website that I think will be very useful to anyone trying to learn how to solo over a 12-bar Blues progression strictly in the Mixolydian Mode, without necessarily using the Minor Pentatonic/Blues scales to fall back on.
MasterBluesGuitar.ORG
It contains what I believe to be the perfect start for anyone looking to get that truly bluesy as hell sound. It's got a ten minute backing track with a blues shuffle drum beat and a bass guitar playing the roots of the standard 12-bar "A Blues". In addition, it has three important scale charts which show the Mixolydian Tone Center intervals for A7, D7, and E7, in fourth position.
That's the jist of it. If this all makes sense to you, then I hope you will use the site, enjoy it, and learn from it. If something about this doesn't make sense, and you would like clarification, please reply to this thread, or refer to the contact info on:
MasterBluesGuitar.ORG
Thanks, everyone!
Peace
