If you guys would prefer direct posts of images to the thread, I can do that, but I think this is easier.

| | Wow - seriously good looking guitar. In a couple of pictures it looked rather like a violin - are there similarities between your craft and other string instrument building? |

| | RobertTM2000, the biggest similarity is they are both handmade. The design is fairly similar to a Benedetto guitar. |

| | some questions:
will you be posting sound snippets soon?
what sort of pricing must we expect?
will red be your only color?
I really like the (apparent) absence of any (plastic) bindings, lay-in, and the fact that the electronics are placed in the pick guard.

| | Let me lay out the details to be clear here.
Sound Snippets: I am not good with recording. I am seeking a resource to do high quality recordings.
Pricing: Guitars will be $1500, with case, shipped to your door. This price includes a number of standard customizable options. More may be added in the future, but the following list is what is definitely available at this time. I'm hoping to do a small discount for forum members; I can't do much because of the small margins, but maybe $50 or so.
There are only two options with upcharges, and this is due to labor and materials. 7 strings are $200 extra, and an upgraded 5 piece neck is available but currently being discussed.
Orders: I am currently taking custom orders.
For this guitar, this is the current list of confirmed, standard, customizable options. Should you be interested in seeing another wood or material used for any part of the guitar, please let me know and I'll see if I can make it happen.
Hand: Right or Left
Strings: 6 string, 7 string (+200)
Top wood: Spruce
Sides and Back: Flame Maple, Mahogany, Rosewood
Fretboard: Rosewood, Ebony
Fret Material: Nickel, Stainless Steel
Nut Material: Bone, Ebony
Nut Width: 1 11/16", 1 3/4"
Scale Length: 25", 25.5"
Body Size: 16", 17"
Body Depth: Provide desired depth
Neck wood: Flame Maple, Mahogany
Pickup: Floating, Neck Humbucker, 2 Humbuckers, None
Color: We'll try to do anything
Comments and Questions are always welcome. I hope I could clear up some questions. |

Just an update; two more top woods are confirmed. Cedar is available at no charge, Flame maple is available for $50. Unfortunately, the maple is an upcharge, but that's what it will cost me to use it as a top. |

| | Tbirdjazzguitar,
I am currently taking orders. There are a healthy number of custom options available, so if you PM me we can work on a quotation. Feel free to inquire with whatever it is you desire. |

| | Another update/clarification. Choice between nickel and stainless steel frets is offered. Originally, I wanted to do strictly stainless but the option for nickel is there. |

| | It really is a great looking guitar 82Benedetto. Sadly I'm not in the market for a new jazz guitar just at the moment, but would have to consider your guitar very strongly if I was in the future! This has still been an interesting thread though, and thank you for lovely pictures! |
