Default New Michael Kelly archtop

Don't have much experience with this brand of guitars, but they have put a new student-level archtop on the market. For almost $900 USD I'd be interested to see what they've come up with. All solid woods. If anyone of you get a chance to try one out, please do share.

Looks like a nice guitar for the price. I wonder who's making it.

I see this
Quote:
A lightly distressed finish – complete with small "dings" –
and roll my eyes. Personally-I like to take care of my guitars, and weep when I get dings on them. Of course-I do get dings, but I'd rather put them there myself, or know that they are "real" dings, or that the finish is distressed because of old age.

-1 on the distressed look. I have to put up with tons of comrades on the Tele forum who think reliced guitars are the cat's PJs. I was hoping archtops could escape that fad.

I agree. I just bought a Guild T-250 that was reliced the old fashioned way-by being played.

You know, I agree the relic thing is pretty lame. I do think that few things in the world are sexier than a guitar that's been worn away, but if it isn't real it isn't real.
