I don't want to check it out until I'm sure that it's really a guitar site and not some virus ladden asian porn site that wants to sell me shoes.

It's legit.

I just don't get cigar box guitars. It's an amusing palour trick to make one yourself, but I've never had the urge to buy one.

I did. It is a "guitar" site. Think Cigar box rather than custom archtop. "I woke up this morning" Dah, Da, da, da, dah.

Honestly, I do kinda like CBG's. If I ever found one with f-holes, a p90 in the neck, and a reasonable price tag, I'd probably buy it. It's a guilty pleasure thing.

I totally agree. Especially a cigar box guitar they are selling for $792.27 .

The post itself is appears to be nothing more than an advertisement... lame...

Interesting Amore Guitar Works

Hey guys,

Thanks for your questions and comments.

Amusiathread: You asked about F- holes and a P90. I think we could do the F-holes for you fairly easily at no extra charge. We would add the P90 just for the cost of the part. It looks like $80- $120 depending on which one you choose. As you can see from our website our price is $792.27 so your total would be under $900. We are calling this an acoustic but with the smaller body it may be kind of like a hollow body. Perhaps I can have one of our luthiers contact you to discuss design options?

Thanks again,

Jean

Steve Z and BigDaddyLoveHandles: I understand you being discouraged with us for advertising on this forum. In a way it is advertising but we thought that our product is so unique that you might just want to look at it.

Just one question for you. Did you watch the video? Did you listen to the instrument. This is no ordinary cigar box guitar.

Anyhow no harm intended, and we are very sorry if we have upset anybody.

Jean

Yeah, especially for almost $800. You can get a real guitar for half that. I just bought a Guild T-250 for $450, and it will probably sound at least as good as the Cigar Box Guitar

I wonder how they came up with this price $792.27
I mean how did they come up with 27 cents?
Maybe if you bargain you can get a 27 cent discount.

I watched the video. I listened to the sound on the video. I enjoyed the playing in the video. Drop the first 7 from the price to $92.27 and you might sell some.
