Default Polytone problems, anyone?

Hi i have a mini brute, got it form a guy a couple months ago. a little worn. haven't used it a whole lot but when i did it sounded great. anyway at the gig last night all of a sudden it started to make a cutting out/crackle sorta sound, almost like a blown speaker when i would hit a note or chord hard. totally sucked..any ideas? i heard these are a pain to get fixed? anyone in Socal area know of anyone?

The trouble with SS amps is that they're reliable until they crap out on you. Tube amps have that advantage.

The Polytone factory is in your neighborhood -- North Hollywood, by the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena airport. The bad news is that don't have any customer service to speak of.
