Default Acoustic Guitar Amps

Has anyone tried a Hartke AC75 or 150? Especially live.

I play an ES-175 (with Bennedetto B6 p/u). I currently play through a Deluxe that I rebuilt last year. It sounds great at low volume but I have a difficult time cutting through (and keeping a more acoustic type tone) when the band gets louder (and I'm not talking real loud).

I have tried a Roland AC-60 which also sounded good but I doubt it would cut through the band. I'm thinking the Hartke configuration would work better. I like the built-in effects plus something that would work with an acoustic guitar all in one package.

Thoughts or Comments ?

Thanks

- Hank

Amps Acoustic Amps

Hi HankL,I just bought an "AcoustiKat" from JazzKat amps.Twin Channel plus effects and switchable tweeters for acoustic sounds.Tried a couple of guitars through it,An ER1 from Eastman and a Ja90 tele. The first thing I noticed was the fact that all the controls give a little more all the way round with no flat spots. So can really fine tune your sounds .Hope this helps

Cheers Tom

Guys, thanks for the quick replies. The AcoustiKat sounds interesting. Regarding the Twin and others, I was hoping to not have to go bigger/heavier (not getting any younger) but they certainly do the job. Thanks again !

Cheak out the AER compact 60. Played through them a few times with bands live and every time its cut through and kept a real nice clear tone.
