Default Es 137

Hi,

I am currently playing an Ibanez AS 93, similar to ES 335 Gibson, and am looking at upgrading. I would like to get a Gibson 137 although i haven't played one or even physically seen one. Is there a difference in the width of the two bodies mentioned above?

Also, I would prefer to use a guitar in between a ES 335 and a ES 175 in terms of body width.

Heh, it's all in the way you underline, too.

EDIT: ... although, the way you perceive how wide a guitar body is probably also involves how it sits on your leg, its depth and weight, etc...

In this picture you can also see the deep differences between the ES-137 (blue color) and ES-335. The 137 was about 0.43 inches (1,10 cm) wider than the 335.

That's depth, or body thickness. Width is across the lower bout of the guitar's body.

It's depth. It was just to give another perspective of the differences between the two guitars.
