Default Alesis Transctive 50

Has anybody ever played or tried this little amp? When I brought my guitar to Jimmy Foster to set up I got a chance to play his amp for just a little while.

Its 50 watts, 5 inch speaker, really light and can be put on a mic stand.
Jimmy uses it for small restaurant gigs and just the little bit I heard, it really sounded good.

I was suprised how it handled the 7 string with the low A. This amp goes for less than 200 dollars. I know its not a high end amp but for the money it was impressive. It has reverb and I think a few effects.

i've never been dissapointed with any alesis product i've owned....my nanoverb is going on 10 years old, still works as good as the day i bought it, and it still comes along to every gig i play in case the room is dead.

When I pick up my guitar next week, I'll ask Jimmy if I can borrow one. I'm sure he said he had 2 of them.

I'll try it side by side with my Polytone and see how it measures up. I have no other amp to compare it to. If nothing else it would make a great back up.
