Have you seen these two Green Gibson?

Not my cup of tea but wouldn't mind if someone GIFT them to me.

The green is a bit bright. Benedetto does green too, just not as bright and yellowish as these.

The first one should have a spruce top and quilted maple back. Too bad.

The second one is just fine. I have a fancy 356 also. I like the tree of life on these. I think they use that same design on Les Paul's now and then.

Gibson about once a year or every couple years does the most ugly guitars possible for showcasing. Gibson gets some name artist who create a "artistic" look and then Gibson builds them and they show them a few time and the guitars disappear (in shame). Okay ugly isn't their goal just seem to turn out that way.

Maybe if they'd hadn't gone so overboard with it. Less vivid green, a plain pickguard, maybe a pre-war Super 400 neck. I still wouldn't buy it; but at least I might not mock it.

I read once that Chevy actually *loses* money on the Corvette every year, but they keep making them for image/status/tradition/branding because other models make up for it. Don't know if it's true or not.
