An Andersen: check out the inlaid gold wire and the woods on the headstock and fretboard. Subtle but cool:

This one is not for me but I love the combination of materials and finishes. I also think the mixing of modern and traditional elements is extraordinary. Just a marvelous design sense...

This very guitar was at the Montreal Guitar Show last month. Pretty interesting to see close up. I chose not to play it, because like the Pagelli, it intimidated me. Silly I know, but still.

Quite a few eccentricities.

I love that Anderson. His guitars are beautiful, they sound great, and they are a pleasure to play. You have one in your hands and you don't want to let go of it.

BTW, that Anderson, or one like it, is currently for sale (used). If interested, check on Anderson's website (I have no connection to the guitar).

Not quite an archtop. In fact, I think it's closer to a Scotch Mint!

My friend Chainsaw Jim has been performing on his new Daisy Rock down at the biker bar. We had to send flowers to the widow of the guy that laughed at him.

Good afternoon, Cosmic...
Don't knock it if you haven't tried it...
I have these (amongst others...); they rock. The Xaviere has a great 'jazz' tone (for me...), the Daisy is more versatile than one might imagine (not just 'Byrds' licks...).
Not Sadowsky, I grant you, but useful (and cool, imho..!).

This is one of many European guitar makers from around 1930's,
It's by a chap called Stefano Caponnetto.

Spot the copy of the previous guitar bottom left. This picture is from a catalogue of A Di Mauro. All of these luthiers copied one anothers designs, even selmer maccafarri's were copied. Previous post of the 'Stimer' styled guitar can still be purchased out of Italy for £1000 stirling/$1200 euro.
I like the European vibe as it's a bit quirky to say the least!!

Nice indeed! Did the restorer have to put the pickup there though?

I guess I'm late to the party! Thus one's not exactly an archtop either - looks more like a 1955 Buick - and I think it's still in the design phase!

Nope. You can get one. J. Blacklund. I spoke to him at the Montreal Guitar Show. He had a few models on hand. Way cool.
