| | Gig bag for Gibson ES-135 Hello all,
I'm new here and have replied to some posts, but this is my first new post to the jazz guitarists-at-large. I recently got a Gibson ES-135 and now want to get a gig bag for it, but have no idea where to find one. If you own or know what a 135 is you know of the different dimensions. If not, it looks like a 175 but has a slightly shallower body, but slightly deeper than a 335. (The rims are 2 1/4" deep if that helps). I'm looking for something with thick padding (20 mm or more), backpack straps, and BIG POCKETS! I hate gig bags with crappy storage! I know some of you will be aghast at the idea of putting a semi-hollow in a gig bag and I appreciate your concern and/or thinking I'm an idiot, but please, just let me know if there's a gig bag that will fit my guitar. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| | There definitely is a bag to fit. I have an Epi ES135 - presumably the same dimensions - and I got a bag with it. I just tried it in another bag and it fit (fitted?) that one too. I got the second bag with a Samick jumbo-body electro-acoustic so try one of those bags. There's no point in me giving you the names because the only ID on them is from Australian guitar shops - no other branding.

| | I have one I can sell you ....It's new...I started using hard cases...it has all the things you stated...it's for a jazz guitar. Holds my Epi Casino as well as an Oscar Schmidt OE-40. Where do you live? May not be worth shipping it if you can buy locally. They are out there for sure. temptones1@verizon.net |

| | I think $50. will do it....I think it will cost about $15. to ship but I can probably get it into a small box and it doesn't weigh very much. You can use PayPal if you can or send me a check...when it clears I'll mail it...Is that okay with you ? That's why Pay pal is better.I'm in Bucks County PA near Philly. It has the name of my local music shop on it , is that okay? |

| | I use this one: Warwick Distribution
for my es 125. You could drop it down a staircase and the guitar would not take any harm. Itīs got more than an inch of padding.

| | I have this:- Tribal Planet GX15 Jumbo/Jazz Guitar Gigbag Case | Dolphin Music
for my D'Angelico NYL-5, which is shallower than a full archtop. Great bag and much more convenient that going the hard case route. Can't comment on the cost as it was a Christmas present from Mrs. Mango, but after trying it, I'd have paid what it's going for on the above site. |

| | Gig Bag BK:
Here are some pictures of the bag with my Cremona in it. It is definitely one that fits but it is in no way as thick and luxurious as those others. It is foamy material but not an inch thick...If you drop it down steps..I'm not sure what will happen...If you carry it onn a plane it will be great...Backstraps are easy . BUT I like my Eastman case ...it has two back straps too.Plus, they cost a bit more...like at least triple. If you really want to do it right, get an EASTMAN fiberglas case. They are high end , very protective but lightweight. I'll show you , next e-mail. |

There is a company in California that sells bags... WWW.ThinManMusic.com go to their site...look up the guitar bags...you'll definitely find one if you don't want mine...Good Luck hunting !
I know they have what you want but it will be more money for sure...They have really padded soft bags.
Here are some Eastmans. I love it.They also carry them....Waterproof, lightweight, lockable.two backstraps.
