Default Pickup for a ES175 Style Archtop

Hi there.

I'm looking for both pickups, for a ES175 style archtop.

I already have 57 Classic on my ES335, love the tone. But I'm my new adquisition I'd like to have a tone close to the 57 classic, but with bite.

You can hear that kind of bite on old Ibanez, even with the super 58 pu's. I'm not putting super 58 on my new guitar, the attack is OK, the tone is too bright for me.

Do you have some advice about pickups I should try, or the specs I should be looking for?
(No single coil, only hummies)

Thx in advance.

What about Kinman Clean Skin?
Any of you have experienced those pickups?

Before plunging in to sea of PAF imitating humbuckers try to use the pole screws of Your Classic '57. When You turn the screws up You get the bite. When You turn them down You get darker.

Second trick is to screw the whole pickup a bit lower. It gives You a bit more air in Your sound.

These free tricks saved me from endless pilgrimage thru nowaday's endless labyrinth of clever and wonderful boutique pickups. Which simply means: saved my money!

Thanks a lot, I'll try that with my 335.
