Default Ibanez Little George Benson...

Not so little.

Information on this is now available on the Ibanez website. The LGB-300 is a "full size" archtop - lower bout is 16.5" compared to 14.75" for the GB-10. Neck is 2mm wider at the nut. Two inset Super 58 p'ups.

Price isn't so little either - list is US$5999, compared to US$4295 for the GB-10. A friend of mine says he saw a retail price of $4500.

Not sure. The web site simply says it's a spruce top with maple sides, which is the same description they use for the GB-10.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and me thinks it needs some large fluffy dice hanging from the headstock.

Or it needs to be in someone's game room in the cellar next to the pool table and surrounded by a collection of German beer mugs just underneath the Elk Head. (insert name of Geographically correct stuffed specimen)

In short, that's one ugly guitar in the eyes of this beholder.

Interesting that they should market a new Jazz guitar though.

It's basically the guitar that Benson was playing on his tour last summer. It certainly sounded great in his hands.

It appears like a typical GB10 except in a florentine cutaway to my eye.

I was looking at the one in this link
Ibanez.com | Hollow Body Guitars | LGB300

It looks like a 16" not a 15"
I think the GB10 is a beautiful looking instrument.
However I think the one pictured in the link should only be played by Viking Warriors. Or perhaps a sturdy oarsman.
Or my grandpa wearing a smoking jacket sitting on a Black and Burned Orange couch ala mid 70's.

Ok.....well it's just the tailpiece and the scratch plate.
They obviously visited there local trash centre to find those.

The new models in the YouTube clip look way better. Nice.

Yeah, to me it looks fine except those two. And the price tag.

The scratchplate - what's wrong with plain black?

The tailpiece - what's wrong with plain.....ahhh, you get the idea.
