Default Looking to Sell or Trade My SG Std/Duncans/Tonepros

...if anyone is interested.
I'm trying to turn it into a 335, 336, or 339.
Trades with cash would work but I'll sell it outright too. Great guitar, but...can't do both, so...
Anyway...the PUP's are Duncan Alnico Pro II' Slash's and they have aged nickel covers. The bridge and tailpiece (locking) are Tonepros. I put the Klusons back on because I actually think the tone is a bit different, but the Grover's are included if you want them (along with the original parts...sans PUPs).
This guitar does a mean Robben Ford through a Blackface or Eric Johnson if you run it through a Marshall. That's what I was doing with it at any rate.
I figure the trade value is about $1,000. I'll hear whatever sort of offer you throw my way. I'd like to move this but it won't break my heart if it sticks around. Let's see if we can do something mutually beneficial.

I wish you the best of luck, Jbear.

I too want a Gibson ES-335 and I too have gear I would get rid of but darn it, once you buy this stuff, you will never be able to get you money back in most cases.

I probably have a few thousand dollars (cost when new) in pedals, amps, effects units, and guitars that I would let go; but, when I see how much I can get for them, it is very discouraging. I just don't want to cut my losses and basically "give" the stuff away at 40 to 60% of the value.

IN my case, file this under the folder "Poor decisions of a guitar newbie."

I just cannot justify adding a $2,500.00 guitar to the mix unless I am actually making money from performing.

Like I said, good luck my friend in making a good trade because I don't think that selling your guitar outright will get you near the value of what it was new (unless you know something I don't).

I appreciate the good wishes. I've traded/bought/sold well over fifty guitars over many years...I'm pretty comfortable with the process.

Good for you! I am glad to hear of a winner every now and then! From what I have seen, the pawn shops seem to be the only consistent ones.

Take care.

Pawn shops used to be a great source...consistently. Now...you really have to hunt the rural ones or find one that specializes in something else.
I picked up a Yamaha t50c Soldano recently for under $200. The shop specialized in guns, so they really didn't care about music gear. The guy's attitude was, "get this thing out of here, so I don't have to figure out what it is."
That doesn't happen like it used to...the I-net took care of that. Still...every now and then... Plus it's fun to look.
