Guitar Acoustic demo : 3 solid archtop: D'Aquisto, Campellone, Elferink

We recently received a beautiful Campellone archtop in stock, and I decided to make a acoustic demo video featuring 3 different archtop : D'Aquisto New Yorker, Campellone Standard, Elferink Solo.

Have a look :

Exxbox Guitars video demo

Of course : each guitar has its own character, but one thing is common : they all do have a real acoustic sound.

Check it out. If you're in Europe and want to try those intruments: let me know. I'm in Belgium

Great acoustic archtop demo/comparison video. I think I prefer the (1) Campellone Standard, (2) Elferink Solo (3) D'Aquisto New Yorker.

Now let's see a amplified demo in the same order... that would be cool too

Thanks for taking the time to make the video and post.

1. Campellone
2. Elferink
3. D'Aq

The choice between 1 & 2 is difficult for me.

Merci, PascalD

do they have the same strings on ? The Daquisto seems very squeeky so I recon it has roundwounds whether the Elferink has flatwounds ? Or am I mistaken ? Hard to compare like that but I like the Elferink best alhtough for electric play flatwounds can be nice; for acoustic playing i would always use rounds.

The Campellone is on D'Addario J21 (roundwound)
The Eflerink is on Pyramid 414-100 (flatwound)
The D'Aquisto is on Tomastik Bebop

That 's what I had already guessed

What people are hearing is the difference between a pressed top (Aquisto reissue) and the carved tops

But the difference between the Elferink and Campellone are largely caused by the different type of strings
