any1? Im afraid it will be out of stock, because only 1961 pieces were built. So opinions please! Is it good for django, swing, bebop, contemporary jazz, smooth, and blues?

I saw some youtube videos but there ppl were playing hard rock, rockabilly, metal etc on this. I prefer to use for the above mentioned, and need to know if it is worth to buy it or not for those.

thanks in advance.

A guy on a Dutch guitarforum bought one and was enthusiastic about it. Building quality seems better than the average Epiphone even.

Since it's like Gibson's ES-330 it would be fine for jazz as well. I only know of two players who used an ES-330: Grant Green and Emily Remler and I love their playing and tone (Emily Remler replaced the P90s for humbuckers).

If you look at youtube for the Peerless Songbird - that is not unlike the Casino - you will find a lot more clips of people playing jazz on such an instrument.

Actually, since I am a huge Grant Green fan, I am in the market for an ES-330 and I've considered the Casino. This one is particularly interesting for it has the neck joint at the "Gibson-correct" 16th fret instead of at the 17th as the cheaper Casino's (not the Elitists) have.

No, the casino is not good for gypsy's jazz. For that music you will like to have full acoustical properties. You will be practising and jamming many times out in the field and you wont be needing loud electical assisted sounds bogging you down.

There is one that was just posted for sale on the Baltimore, Maryland, Craigslist at an asking price of $700 US. Based on the specs and apparent scarcity of the model, that seems like a very good price to me.
