Default New Fender Amp

What do you think it might be ok for small gigs ,I know the lack of headroom.

I would have preferred reverb over tremolo.
Love the looks though!

Interesting. Nice to see a new tube amp from Fender. But I'd prefer a PRRI and even a SCXD over it.

A 1X15, that's pretty interesting. I feel like this vintage vibe amp is in response to Ampeg reissuing its old guitar amps; a few of those were 1X15s as well, and they were notorious for having an accordion input on the earlier models.

It's too bad that it's so few watts, because the Ampeg Gemini was a 1X15 and it was 50 watts, and used to be a notoriously good jazzer. My friend has one from 1969 and the tubes are old as dirt and it's still clean and loud.

I'm pretty excited, does anyone know a release date?

Why they chose tremolo over reverb is beyond me. I would jump on this if it had reverb.
I know I LOVE my Ampeg Reveberocket II GS12R from 67(I think). Its got great jazz tones with decent head room for its wattage.

Funny thing about the Ampeg Reissues is it seems you can buy an Ampeg in great shape from back in the glory days for WAY less than a new one trying to be an old one...

It's true! The old models are hidden gems, way cheaper than they're actually worth. The new ones also don't have nearly as much headroom, which turned me off of them pretty quickly.

You would think Fender and Ampeg and others would look at the market and see that people can buy HIGHLY desireable old school amps in great shape for about the same as the new ones trying(kind of) to sound like the old ones and adjust the price to reflect this. If I could have bought a Deluxe RRI for less than the Ampeg Reverberocket II GS12 R I would have bought it...maybe even for about the same money I would have bought it. But why should I pay twice as much for something trying to sound old.

i wouldn't discount any amp just because its 15 watts. PR are only 12, deluxe reverb is 22. my lil king (headstrong PR clone) is plenty loud to play any jazz gig thats not with elvin jones.

how many guys do you know playing twins where they have to keep the volume at 1.5? ie...the worst sounding range on a twin.
