Default Interesting Evening (Henriksen Content)

So I decided to try to sell my 'Tweetey' on CL. It works well for acoustic/electrics, but I'm trying to sell my Crafter SA, and I don't use it for my regular electrics. This local guy was interested, and came over and bought it. He brought over a really nice Gibson/Epiphone Howard Roberts (oval hole with a floating Johnny Smith pickup) and I got to play it - very nice! He also brought an Alvarez-Yari WY-1 which was also nice but had a pretty thin neck. This was the guitar which really benefitted from the added sparkle of the Tweetey. So, he bought it (the Tweetey). But, wait, there's more!

He brought his JazzAmp110 as well. It was the first time I'd ever heard one and been able to compare it side to side to my own JazzAmp112. We both agreed that the 112 sounded fuller and less boxy, though I wouldn't mind having a 110 as well since it was signifigantly smaller and lighter. One unfortunate note: he was going to bring an Eastman too, but he said that the tailpiece had just broken at the hinge.

But the best part is we played tunes together for an hour or so, and we sounded pretty darn good - no competiveness - it was just about the music. He lives 15 minutes from me, and we're going get together and play again soon and then maybe gig a bit as a duo.
