Default Review of Thornton Improv

I've had mine for several months and play it all the time. It is a true hollowbody with about a 2" thickness. Mine has two Lollar Low Winds pups. Details are available here.

Cp Thornton Guitars

I can't come up with any complaints. There is no guitar I've played that beats the amplified tones. And I've had some fine guitars, like an Artist Award, a L5, a Johnny Smith and a Howard Roberts Artist from Kalamazoo.

The workmanship is simply the best. The guitar is comfortable and well thought out. The action is low and consistent. I use flatwounds, either 12s or 13s, depending on my mood.

At first it seemed too good to be true. Close to four months later, it's still perfect.

I find my full sized archtops collecting dust. I play my Super only because it has P-90s, which do sound different. The others stay on the rack.

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Wow, those are very attractive...plays half as good as it looks and it'd still be a winner. Enjoy it!

Beautiful! Is the placement of the switch an issue?
