Rosewood saddle for Crafter SAT I have an Ibanez Artcore AF105 with a Benetteo A6 pickup and play it with the rosewood floating bridge. I recently got a Crafter SAT hybrid and decided to try putting a rosewood saddle into the bridge to obtain a bit more of a mellow sound, both for electric and acoustic voices. I had some fine rosewood laying around from making mandolin bridges and after a couple of hours of cutting, sanding, polishing, shaping and slotting, I slipped my beautiful new saddle into the Crafter. The improvement is far beyond anything I could have hoped for. Might try an ebony bridge on one of my acoustics next.
One other note. For years I've been using a Polytone Mega Brute amp, just for playing around the house, and it starting making wacky sounds. I have a Roland AC90 I'm happy with and decided to get a Cube 40XL. Nice warm sounds, good effects and plenty of volume. This might leave my house from time to time as it's a whole lot lighter than my Fender Cyber Twin.
Hope this information is helpful to someone. It took me years to find things like Chrome strings, Pro Plec picks, Diamond optical compressor and Hardwire chorus pedals that work for me. I would still trade them all for just a bit of Wes's magic.
