Hi,
Sorry for a long message (already typed it once, but something ate it on preview

).
I'm to buy a guitar. I'm not rally a Jazz player. I always wanted hollowbody (Gretch is a trip) and wife likes the looks.
Price range EUR500. I'm in Serbia where prices are about same figures as in USA, but in EUR, meaning about 40% - 50% more expensive.
Guitars I've tried:
- Ibanez AF95 EUR480 - ok playabillity, good sound
- Gretch 5122 EUR750 - better palyabillity, weaker sound
- Epiphone 335 copy EUR480 - suits my playing, ok sound.
- PeyVey JFX EUR300 - average, lowest price, loose pot right there in the
store, fret buzz.
- Squire x155 EUR400 (with case, second hand, have it at home on probe) - easiest to play, ok sound, ...Id get x155 if there were not:
1. Price. Is it worth it, ie, could I sell it at about the same price I could sell other mentioned guitars?
2. Intonation. Basically it's flat at 12th.
It's with .11 or.12 flatwounds, but plain G. Would lighter strings help, going sharper under same pressure?
Is bridge floating, to try that way? Using reasonable force I can not move it while strung. I'd not unstring because I'm sloppy in stringing.
Would raising action help? Currently action is as low as Heavy Metal shredding axe (with nobuzz at all !!!), I won't mind higher action for better intonation.
3. Wooden bridge. Can I attach GK3 to it, or I'd have to switch to tunematic?
------------------------------------------------------
Curenly I play Squier Tele '86 MIJ, bought '87, stock, except bridge (3 piece classic), needs refretting. With .11 intonation on 12th better than x155, but x155 sounds more in tune overall.
Buckley by Washburn piece of "wood" with GK3 into GI20 ...
Thank you in advance,
Vladan
