| I have a Boss Ge-7 with Monte Allums mods. It's very quiet unlike the original one apparently (never tried one). I also had a Maxon GE-7 that cost twice as much as the Boss new (I got a gret deal used) but I liked the boss better - one extra band, the buttons stop at flat postion, etc... I hace used it live - you get much more control over your tone. You can also use the Boss as a clean boost or to cut archtop feedback. PS - I also got a sweet deal on the Fromell Shape EQ - a parametric EQ in a pedal shape. I like it much more than the Boss... super quiet and lots of control over your tone. |

| I used one giggin for years (Boss) and had no issues with it (noise or otherwise).. then started using as a boost pedal for rock... then found better boost pedals.. then sold it .. then forgot why I sold it.. so time to get another. Just checking the field before getting another Boss.

| Why not a parametric like the ShapeEQ or the ParaEQ? |
